This mechanism with an info button that shows the attribution dialog has been in use for a long time in the Mapbox SDK for Android (see also their docs), and is still the same in MapLibre, the fork that we are now using. I am quite surprised that this would not be in agreement with OSM's rules, as these SDKs are in use by thousands of apps, both FOSS and commercial. Has this policy changed recently?
If so, I think the more efficient solution would be to report this to MapLibre and Mapbox instead of making every app developer figure out their own solution to fix the attribution...
I'm not inside the OSM Foundation, but from my knowledge, it's not easy to respect OSM attributions by the enterprises. https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Attribution_Guidelines#Interactive_maps
It seems attribution can be hidden behind i but when users arrive on the website or the app we need to see the attribution.

OSM foundation asked OSM attributions doesn't need an interaction on map to be visible.
