cd ~
sudo mkdir -p mydata/hdfs/namenode
sudo mkdir -p mydata/hdfs/datanode

should be /home/hduser/mydata/hdfs/namenode
&
should be /home/hduser/mydata/hdfs/datanode

respectively to match the configuration in hdfs-site.xml
