I am using the Elvia (grid provider) customer component (https://github.com/sindrebroch/ha-elvia). This component gives me the actual tariff I am currently at. So it would be awesome if the target_energy parameter in your component could take it's input from another entity since then I could take the attribute from Elvia custom component and have "dynamic" target_energy level.
If for example have set target_energy to 10 but I am already at a higher (or lower) level (as reported from Elvia) it makes more sense to have the real level as the level I would try to stay below instead of a fixed level.
