Text missing from main menu

When i boot the game there is no text in the main menu. I can still go to options and start a new game and otherwise there is no problem with the game but I cannot see what i am selecting only in the main menu.

Strange, does this happen with the unpatched version?
If not could you try the other SH2 resolution fix at http://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/101-silent-hill-2-modern-compatibility-fix/ and let me know how that goes, I'm guessing that since it works sorta the same way as mine it'll have the same problem, but let's make sure.
Also could you post your computers specs?

The other sh2 resolution fix works fine. If i switch back to sh2 proxy the main menu text goes missing again.This happens on both computers i tried.
My specs are : i5 4670k 4.0ghz/16gb/gtx 760/win 8.1 on my desktop and i7 2670QM 2.2ghz/6gb/gtx 555m/win 7 on my laptop

Only happens with the north american version, it was solved when I got the director's cut (european)
