Snippet view includes in its metadata a value 'num'. This value corresponds to the number of the hit in the main window. However, it is one less. For instance, for hit 1 the snippet metadata has >:num 0.

That's not really a misnumbering, it is just the internal representation of the numbering system (which is 0-based). Perhaps it shouldn't be shown in the snippet metadata, if it turns out to be confusing...
That’s what I thought. Sorry for calling it ‘misnumbering’ then. It doesn’t distract me, I just wasn’t sure if it was an oversight or not.
