This happens every time I open the app.
Yesterday this happened, and magically fixed itself after the third time I opened Element; but this time, it seems to be permanently borked.

@MilesBHuff the package you installed isn't maintained by us, I suggest contacting its maintainer

This is happening to me with the Element Flatpak from Flathub as well. I simply cannot connect on the Desktop app once this starts happening. Restarting/Rebooting does not resolve this issue The mobile app works fine, so it is not my account. Uninstalling and reinstalling the program does not resolve this issue.

The only 'fix' is signing out and back in again entirely, and that only lasts a while until the issue starts again.

Fedora Workstation 38, Flatpak (from Flathub) release 1.11.35, matrix.org is also my homeserver.

Does the web version at https://app.element.io/ give any different results?
Can you access your home server at the same time - eg using

curl -v https://matrix.org/_synapse/admin/v1/server_version

and replacing matrix.org with your actual home server?

Thanks for your quick repsonse!

It appears to be my home server. I sincerely apologize for not having checked that first!

I Have the same issue with

Element version: 1.11.77
Crypto version: Rust SDK 0.7.1 (c8c9d15), Vodozemac 0.6.0

using the --proxy to tor.

The client seems to never try to reconnect and I have to reopen the program for it to connect
