Calls hang #2175
Comments
Same here, Xiaomi MI8 (dipper) on LineageOS 17.1 |
Is this related to #2314 ? |
I had a similar issue today with Element-Android. But only with one-to-one calls, launched from a Direct Message chat. When I call the same account from a group chat using the Jitsi integration, from the same Element app, on the same Android device, it worked fine. I'm on the latest Element from F-Droid, on a OnePlus A6013, running Android 11 (OxygenOS 11.1.2.2). The person I was calling was using Element-Web in FireFox, on a GNU/Linux desktop. Not sure if this is connected, but the same device is also having calling issues with BigBlueButton in Firefox-based browsers, and Monocles Chat (XMPP app based on blabber.im and Conversations). Meanwhile, calls work fine in the Jitsi app and Snikket on the same device. All apps installed from F-Droid, and kept up-to-date. |
Describe the bug
Trying to make a call will often times result in element-android saying "call connecting" until somebody hangs up or the call ends on its own.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
I expect the call to connect

I have a working turn server (I'm pretty sure?) and calls do occasionally connect. Will submit rageshake.
