Status : core plugin, unit tested and maintained.

This plugin is used on log server to receive logs from an HTTP/HTTPS stream. This is useful in case the agent can only output logs through an HTTP/HTTPS channel.

Config using logstash format:

input {
  http {
    host => 127.0.0.1

  }
}

Example Output:

{
  "message": "{\"username\":\"xyz\",\"password\":\"xyz\"}",
  "host": "127.0.0.1",
  "http_port": "8080",
  "path": "/api/login",
  "@timestamp": "2017-08-27T11:15:37.526Z",
  "@version": "1"
}

Parameters:

  • host: listen address for the HTTP server : can be 0.0.0.0, 127.0.0.1 ...
  • port: port for the HTTP server.
