It would be nice if in addition to the queried markers that takes it's values from the data, there would be a possibility to manually configure markers that go into the dashboard settings. For example to annotate events in a time graph to explain changes in data. Unless there's a way to query markers from another index or type than the current dataset. In that case I wouldn't mind storing annotations in ES.
Also, it would be nice to be able to change the color of the annotation tags a bit as it can be hard to see them when they're against a black background.

The best way to handle this is to inject your events into Elasticsearch. We like to keep a single point of data in Kibana and would rather not store events on the dashboards schema
