I have data showing in the _source field, in the discover tab, but a warning message is displayed that no data exists.

Ironically this issue is still valid after all those years. We should make sure this message is not shown for the _source field, since it does not make much sense for it. You cannot visualize on the _source anyway and the button also no longer shows for it.
