I was attempting to save a dashboard to elasticsearch with the name "Apache(iPhone/iPad/Other)" and this was failing and I got:

Save failed Dashboard could not be saved to Elasticsearch

Looking in Chrome's console the PUT request is getting a 400 error back.

Substituting a colon for a slash worked.

Related to #1081 and #1327. Fixed in Kibana 4
