An image sometimes show a lot more info then a list of events. Please allow us to paste screenshots and other images in Elastic cases. See https://discuss.elastic.co/t/adding-screenshots-to-cases/251556

Yeah that would be nice to have instead of uploading somewhere else first.

Any progress on this?

Hey @willemdh! The @elastic/kibana-app-services team finished most UI components and the Kibana File Service. Now that we have almost all the needed tools we will reprioritize the issue and discuss it with the team. We are pretty loaded with other items so I am not sure when we will start working on the issue. Nevertheless, it is something that we want to support soon. I will let you know of the progress on this.

Hi @willemdh! I would like to inform you that we start working on attaching files to a case.

A similar feature to how GitHub handles pasted images would be a significant win for case management in Kibana!

Awesome! Looking forward to that. Hopefully this feature is fully supported onprem and available in Platinum.

The file uploading will allow users to enrich cases with more context and other investigation attachments. This feature will be supported as part of the Basic tier. We're considering adding more capabilities in the future under Platinum.

@willemdh We added the ability to attach files to a case in this PR #154436. You can attach any files through a dedicated "Files" view. Soon we will support attaching images directly to the markdown editor. I opened this issue to track it #155361. Should we close this issue?
