Browser version:

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):
docker
Describe the bug:
When clicking on a link, cmd + left click, in the non docked side nav, the side nav closes.
When right-clicking on a link and saying open link in new tab non docked side nav, does not close.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open kibana
  2. Open side nav, do not dock it
  3. Right-click link ==> works
  4. cmd + left click ==> does not work

Expected behavior:
cmd + left click should behave the same as right-click.

This bug is not existent in the elastic/eui package.

@cchaos, what do you think? Is this a bug, valid feature request, or a UX we're not supporting?

I ask because the EUI demo isn't fully wired up (given that clicking on a link without opening in a new tab doesn't close the nav either and doesn't do anything).

I actually ran into this too and it felt like a bug to me, I just forgot to log it 😄

Seems like a valid experience to me.
