It would be great if the default time range filter of 15m was configurable in the Kibana Advanced config section.

If I raise a PR to do this, what are the chances of it being accepted? And, more importantly, what's the policy for getting changes into the 4.1 series?

Hey @samcday

This was added by #3976 and will be released in 4.2. We are currently only backporting bug fixes to 4.1.
