How can I get graphs like the Graphite screenshot in Logstash's docs? #432
Comments
You'd want to use a histogram panel, and a few different queries (one for each set of response codes you wanted graphed). Tell the histogram to draw lines and you will have exactly what you linked to. Closing since this isn't really an issue. |
Do you have a better support forum/group for this kind of question? Any docs anywhere on how to do what you suggested? |
I found the histogram settings window. But I'm still wondering about a better support location, and detailed user docs. |
I pretty sure there are not any detailed user docs at the moment. There are a few getting started guides out there on the internet (you'll probably be most interested in one specifically for Kibana 3). If you get stuck, check out http://three.kibana.org/contact.html |

One of the things that looks very very handy about logstash are the graphite graphs like what's shown here: http://logstash.net/docs/1.1.13/tutorials/metrics-from-logs
Is it possible to do that kind of thing with Kibana? As in, graph all 404's, 200's, and so on, on the same graph? Or do I need to set up graphite and statsd to get that kind of thing?
