Timelion graphs can show a vertical line when user hovers over a specific location on a graph. That same line is also shown in the other graphs, making it easy to see how graphs correlate with each other. It appears this is an exclusively timelion's feature, but it would be very useful to have it in other graphs, e.g. Vega.

We need a way to standardize "global time hover" state, so that other visualizations can subscribe to the changes, or to be able to set that value. For example, Vega vis developer would be able to use it in their graphs.

I slightly modified that issue, so it represents highlighting in general on charts, not necessarily linked to only time based data. We could also highlight the same buckets in other charts.

Dear experts,

Do we have any updates for this awesome feature?

Thanks,
Roy

Hi,

The shared time hover (crosshair/vertical line) stopped working in Kibana 7.9.2.

The shared vertical line is a very useful feature for us.
Do we need to change a setting to enable this?

Thanks!

Closing this, as Lens has introduced synchronized cursors!
