Kibana v.5.5.0+ Metric Visualization aggregation options missing

Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Log into Kibana
2. Click Visualize
3. Create a Visualization
4. Under Data - Select Metric
5. Select an index
6. Click the Arrow next to Metric
7. Under Aggregation view the list of options.

Using v5.4.3 if you click visualize, new, Data (Metric), and then select the aggregation -- it shows Standard Deviation (and several other choices).

If you do the same thing using 5.5.1 Standard Deviation and a few other choices are missing.
