Hello,

Is there any way to add a Visualisation (a Panel) to Discover? In the Dashboard it works, but I need the Data which I use for filtering my Data in the Discover part and not in the Dashboard.

Any possible way to do that?

This is not possible at the moment. Can you describe your use case a little bit more? We are interested in broader embeddability of visualizations throughout Kibana, but it helps if we understand specific use cases better.

If @TheRoht is mainly interested in the ease of filtering ability some visualizations provide, sounds like this might be a use case for the fancy input controls in Discover that @snide was playing around with.

Thanks a lot for engaging with the Kibana community. We evaluated and discussed that feature and unfortunately - though it's a valid enhancement request - decided, that there are currently enough alternatives to this workflow (e.g. you can pin your filters to be sticky while moving between apps), and also you can place saved searches on a dashboard. In the future, we hope to make dashboards more configurable to even allow for better workflow adjustments. Thus we decided that we don't plan to allow adding visualizations in Discover.

Since we are trying to keep the open issues to a manageable count, we will be closing this issue, since there are no plans on our side to address it in the future. Thanks again for your contribution.
