Original post: elastic/kibana#105754

Describe the bug:
Clicking on the hamburger when the side menu is already open performs a weird close/open interaction. It should just close the menu instead. Not sure if it matters, I'm using the Amsterdam (v8) theme, in dark.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. See gif

Expected behavior:
Just close the menu but don't reopen

Screenshots (if relevant):

Was this tested in the most recent version of master?

I'm pretty sure I fixed it in elastic/kibana#103192

That screen is also a little stale which makes me think it was an old build. I just pulled down 7.14 and it works as expected (with the correct sizing as well). I think this is closable on both sides.
