Adding a title on a chart can be used for:

  • accessibility
  • limit the space wasted by each axis title, moving such information on the chart title
  • Can help on disabling the legend if we consider moving the legend items/colors in the title
  • Helps on align the chart styles across different chart types (metric/bullet/line/bar/treemap/small multiples)
  • Replace the Kibana Dashboard panel title within the chart itself

Chart types:

  • Add title to Metric charts #1928
  • Add title to Cartesian charts
  • Add title to Partition charts
  • Add title to Gauge/Goal/Bullet graphs
  • Add title to Heatmap
  • Add title to WordCloud
