Considering the addition of two extra fields in kubernetes_metadata

  1. kubernetes.workload.type
  2. kubernetes.workload.name

That change in the schema would allow much flexible and powerful visualizations because having data of the same nature (who controls the pod) in different fields is challenging.

This is a follow up issue of #25816
