Try out a static example, two pages:

  1. Create torrent and search index from a data object and seed + search
  2. Leech that torrent and search data.

This will be a static search-index. But maybe we could manage to do incremental backup-style update of data. Not sure, but could be worth a test.

Also, just to show a search-index replicated with a webtorrent would be awesome.

Not sure how safe you can get trackers, but maybe you could implement authentication on tracker level? Also a webtorrent-desktop client is all that is needed to keep your search server alive.

Or if you want a bit more sturdy setup, do it with webtorrent-cli

The search engine will be using webtorrent in the browser creating and seeding data.
