The Hearst Museum Data for California isn't listed as an independent project under DINAA like the linked data project, or the various state site files projects. It just seems to be 'dumped' into the DINAA project. (See first image attachment).
Some quick checking indicates that most/all of the California sites are from the Hearst Museum dataset. There are a total of 4646 in California, and 508642 in DINAA overall. When all of the sub-projects in DINAA are selected using the checkbox tool, the map shows that 503996 sites are selected (see second image attached). This is equal to 508642 minus 4646, suggesting that these are the only sites that have been dumped into DINAA without being grouped into their own sub project.
Since this is a non-standard approach to adding data to DINAA, I think it might have been an oversight when the data was added. I thought it was worth pointing out.
