Currently, one needs to know what the textual representation of an icon is in order to be able to use it. It would be nice to have the alternative option of selecting a command that was something like Insert Special Icon: Select - That might then bring up the different groups of icons available, and selecting one of those groups might bring up the icon.

Nice suggestion, you may have already noticed that there are a few usability-related issues that I have yet to implement.
One small comment though: is there any particular reason for using double quotes (") rather than single quotes ('), or is that merely an editor preference?
