Bug Description:

This probably only applicable for the electron version of Theia.
In VSCode you can D&D external files into the editor view to open it.
This feature does not seem to work in the electron version of Theia, although D&Ding files into the workspace tree works.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Drag and Drop a external file into editor pane.
  2. The file should be opened like using the existing open file command within Theia.
  3. Nothing happens!

Additional Information

  • Operating System: Fedora 33, Gnome 3.38.5 (X11)

  • Theia Version: Tested with the avaliable Theia-Blueprint AppImage version 1.13.0.
