Bug Description:

Following #9189, we are unable to execute provided tasks anymore.
I confirmed that the previous commit 221d90e works.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. include the following plugin in your application: vscode-task-provider-example
  2. start the application with a workspace
  3. execute task: run task
  4. select any of the vince tasks (ex: vince: vince-test)
  5. the task fails to execute
