Consolidate server side logging

Currently most of the servers just write into sysout. This is sort of painful for analyzing issues. It'd be better if we had a log4j and a nice configuration that collects the log output of all running servers into a single file. Especially for analyzing issues in a kubernetes deployment this will get even more useful.
