Confusions about ablation studies

Thanks for your excellent work! However, when I going through the paper, I have the following confusions.

How can it get such remarkable improvements on MOTA (Table 4, 69.1 v.s. 78.4) and FN (Table 5, 39523 v.s. 30000) by applying pixel-wise association. Could you please give me some insights?
