Hi there. After following some guides from other posts, I have gotten to the part where you need to let the Spotipy program have access to my Spotify account. After loading up a VNC and going to the localhost:8080 site, and allowing it access to my account, it takes me to a site that Midori cannot load. I was told to paste this into the console, but there is no prompt to do so, and nothing happens when I do. Any leads? Here is a screenshot of after I authorize it through spotify:

Hi, does the promt appear if you start spotifypod.py instead? It has been a while since I performed these steps but I don’t think I did use another script to authenticate

That worked! However, now I am stuck with the openbox default desktop, instead of the spotifypod.py program. I checked the autostart paths and it should work, and trying to run the program manually via the terminal emulator in openbox resulted in this line of errors...

I have the client IDs, and redirect URI in the /etc/xdg/openbox/environment file, so this is odd.

I added the variables to:
/etc/environment

I also have a copy of them in .bashrc in the home directory of my user.

Not sure which one makes it work. but it works 🤷
but it only works after it boots and not from rc.local.

I ended up making spotifypod a service and set environment variables there.

Not sure if it works on boot though. I don't think it does.

but maybe you'll have more luck with one of the options I suggested.
