Over on the Maersk Energy Transition team, we'd like to talk to Dremio via ODBC from our M1 / M2 Mac workstations. At present, we need to jump through hoops to compile our own app for x86 and run it through Rosetta in order to do this.
It'd be much easier for us if we could use a natively compiled ODBC driver. Are there any plans to support this?
Solid agree. I stumbled on this request while trying to research work arounds. My current work around is "make Dremio dump query results to S3" and I'm questioning why I don't rearchitect to remove Dremio from my workflow and just use Athena.
