Allow centering of Taskbar items? #526
Comments
Did XP/Vista/Win7 offer this with the classic theme. I don't think so. Let's achieve what the original taskbar managed to do in XP before trying to make it provide win10 functionality. |
I mean, technically speaking Vista did... before it got code-reset. |
It was my intention to allow this through themes. I'll add a style resource that can be used for this purpose. |
Hi, longhornfusion here, I had tried to center the task list in that theme prior to its release however the wrappanel itself wouldn't resize when new task items were added leading to lots of whitespace on the taskbar with the task buttons becoming increasingly small, so I just left it left aligned originally. I have tested #535 PR and confirmed it is now working as intended and have updated the theme with the additional TaskListWrapPanel style. Thanks for the update! |
I think we've reached a completion of my issue's request, so... given that has happened: |
It would be amazing if RetroBar had an option to make the Taskbar items centered. This would complement themes like https://www.deviantart.com/longhornfusion/art/Longhorn-Plex-M5-M6-4015-4042-for-RetroBar-945067852 , and essentially make RetroBar a way to get centered Taskbar items on other versions of Windows where doing so isn't easy (if even possible whatsoever) to achieve.
tl;dr: Add option to center-align Taskbar items instead of left-aligning them
