In the README doc ,it said the hsnips folder was put in ~/.config/Code in Linux, but some distros don't put configs of vscode(or other vscode builds) in that folder, such as OSS in .confg/Code - OSS,
Here are 3 options:
create that ~/.config/Code/User/hsnips folder manually.
modify the extracted extension's javascript files' code to change the proper path in the relevant code lines. But you have to do this repeatedly every time the hypersnips updated.
The author adds an config port to the vscode's settings.json file.
