Assistant silently fails when saving report and disk is full

Describe the bug

When saving a report and there is not enough diskspace, it silently fails, no error message, no information in the output window, simply remains in unsaved state.
The report I tried to save was rather large although from a pretty small solution, (50k LOC C#), details in screenshot:

After clearing diskspace, the saved file had 5Gb. VS consumed 25gb memory with the report open.

No upgrade-assistant.clef file found anywere on disk.
