Macro NOT working - Redragon Impact M908 Mouse - Linux Mint XFCE.

Hi.

I am using a Redragon Impact M908 Mouse on Linux Mint XFCE.

The macro in the 'example_m908.ini' file is set as :

And it is mapped to button 1 of profile 1 as:

But when I press the (side) button 1 of my mouse, it does not type m. It turns on start menu.
I tried mapping other actions to macro1 as well, but it still turns on start menu - instead of doing the set actions.

Any idea what's wrong and how I can solve it?

Did you send the macros to the mouse with mouse_m908 -m config.ini? You could also check if everything was sent correctly with mouse_m908 -R -.

Before continuing, I'd like to thank you for the amazing work and support with this package.

It has been helping countless Linux users all over the world.

Now going back to topic,

Yes I used mouse_m908 -m config.ini, although I have been debugging it and updated it.

It is working now as expected, but the macros are not working whenever I add tab / ctrl key actions in the config file.

It seems to me, the macros do not work when I add key bindings for ctrl, alt, tab, etc.

I tried your config on my M908, and all macros worked perfectly fine. This suggests two possible problems:

1. Your mouse has a slightly different firmware which is not completely compatible. Unfortunately i can't do much in that case.
2. The version of mouse_m908 you are using is broken. You could try out the latest release version and the latest git version.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

By the way, the tab, ctrl, alt, and esc keys are working for you using macros?
