It seems that noDataMessage is treated as an HTML string, while loadingMessage is treated as text (e.g., "<a>" shows angle brackets on the screen instead of making a link).

Thanks for pointing this out; clearly an oversight. I've opted to support HTML in both rather than desupport HTML in noDataMessage.
