appendMissingSlash configuration causes breaking urls in iOS Safari

While adding 'appendMissingSlash' => 'ifNotFile,redirect' .The url like this https://example/xyz(a shortcut page) doesn't work properly to append trailing slashes at the end like https://example/xyz/ which causes the ios browser (safari ) unable to load the respective shortcut page.
