Upon invoking the Windows version, Squid-3.5, I got a message: "New version '1.3.5.27' available . Please visit www.diladele.com." It slid in from the lower right hand corner of the screen for a few seconds then disappeared. I never saw any Squid screen display. The impression that I got was that I have not succeeded in starting the Squid-windows at all.
Following the above instruction, the new installation behaved the same. I contacted Diladele and was instructed to try a new version form http://squid.diladele.com/. Unfortunately, the same behavior persisted.
Checking my Windows "Apps & features" listing, it appears what I have installed is a "3.5.28" version. Relative to the version numbers in the above message, this looks like a latter version ("28" vs. "27"), if we overlook the leading "1." in the former. But, this would not follow any convention that I know. Does this make any sense? it is rather confusing.
Please advise what I might done incorrectly and how to rectify the situation.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Abe (2109-03-15 15:38)
