You will need:

- 4 mangonel.wheel.upright.stl
- mangonel.arm_1.stl
- mangonel.arm_2.stl
- mangonel.arm_3.stl
- 2 mangonel.axel.stl
- 2 mangonel.winch.stl
- mangonel.winc_2.stl
- Catapult_Stone_Pile.stl (as many as you want)
Start by using your pin vice to make sure the holes for the axels and winch are cleared out
Glue the wheels
Glue the frame
When you glue the arm, leave the bottom part unglued for now to aid in assembly.
All the assembled parts. Prime them with black primer
Now paint almost all surfaces with burnt umber.
Then come back and hit the wood with a light coat of Raw Sienna, leaving burnt umber in the crevices. This could be seen as a heavy drybrush.
Do a light dry brush of honey brown, especially on upturned surfaces
Just so y'alls know, Vallejo Metal Color is amazing. It is far and away the best metal paint I've ever used. Anyway, paint all the plates with Magnesium. There's some banding in the wheels, and some metal on the arm as well.
Dry brush some silver to catch the rivets on the metal.
Dry brush the rope with Oyster Beige.
Press fit the arm into place, putting a dab of glue in the loose flap between the sides.
Put the axel and winch bar into the frame, glueing in filament through the hole. It's best if you dab the glue in the hole in the axel/winch bar so you don't risk accidentally gluing the filament to the frame. Put the wheels and winch on their respective filament bits, clip, then heat with a lighter and squish to make the filament into a rivet.
Fully assembled Mangonel
If you want to use a metal chain, you can drill holes in the winch bar to glue the clipped chain in.
Glue the chain into the winch bar
Drill the arm for the chain
Glue the chain in.
Paint the pad on the crossbeam a deep, dark red.
Shade it with a lighter red.
Highlight the pad by drybrushing a bright red.
The final model.
