Hello, I was trying to use DEX in decredition wallet and I clicked "connect DCR wallet", put password and got error:
Failed to retrieve user information: Error: User error: response buffer too short (need 52103 bytes).

Hello, thanks for the bug report!

It is a known issue in Decrediton v1.8.0. It was fixed in #3882 and the upcoming v1.8.1 will include the fix.

Until then your options are to build Decrediton from source or use the standalone DEX app. Both options will get you prepared for the upcoming hard fork in 10 days. Decrediton v1.8.0 has DEX v0.6.1 inside and I'm not sure how it will react to the hard fork. The standalone app is the easiest workaround for now I think. Devs please correct me if anything is wrong.
