Any ideas how to change the position of the hover label, especially "hovermode: x unified" so that is doesn't cover over the chart you are interested in?

Really like the all-in-one "x unified" hover label but it would be cool to be able also see the actual chart that the hover label relates to.

Any ideas how to move this further away or even to a specific fixed position at the side?

Tried a few settings found in the plotly.js docs, but not sure if the are not implemented or using them incorrectly...

Have you tried styling the hover overlay semi transparent?

I also was thinking about making a "legend" map along side. Do you have any info on how to use traces like scattergeo?

I'll live with the semi-transparent hover, there just seems to be no way to affect the position.
scattergeo is not commented but you are right, it doesn't work, it shows just a world map outline and non of the layout parameters seem to have any effect.

You could uncomment those, recompile the card and load it locally to use it. I left them off because they added megabytes to the card

the items commented are deprecated anyway, mapbox related. I might try something else with SVG but not really important.
