Currently, the apply-layout-function relies on all windows being opened (or actually just ignores non-opened windows).

YCO could also open apps or new windows of apps (using open -n /Applications/{appName}.app) before applying a layout.

This was now released in v1.5.0-alpha.1 (docs still missing).
