This Code of Conduct applies to all members of our organization, including cuHacking members, hackathon/event participants, external contributors, and sponsors. It covers interactions in all project spaces, whether online or in person, and at events related to the project.
To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we expect community members to:

- Communicate respectfully, avoiding harassment, abuse, or derogatory language.
- Collaborate in good faith, supporting each other to achieve shared goals.

- Respect the confidentiality of information shared within the project.
The following behaviors are unacceptable:
- Harassment, discrimination, or exclusion based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other personal attributes.
- Threats of violence, intimidation, or other abusive conduct.
- Deliberate disruption of discussions, events, or project workflows.
- Sharing or publishing private or sensitive information without explicit consent.
- Any form of retaliation against those who report or address violations of this Code of Conduct.

Reports will be reviewed confidentially by the Code of Conduct committee. We pledge to:
- Respond promptly to all reports.
- Investigate incidents impartially.
- Protect the confidentiality and safety of reporters.
- Take appropriate action, which may include warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the community.
If you feel unsafe or uncertain about reporting an issue, we encourage you to reach out. Retaliation against those who report in good faith will not be tolerated.
We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Our anti-harassment policy prohibits:
- Offensive comments related to personal attributes or identity.
- Sexual advances, inappropriate physical contact, or unwelcome attention.
- Stalking, intimidation, or deliberate sabotage of another’s work.
- Any other behaviour that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment.
Participants asked to stop harassing behaviour must comply immediately.
Our commitment to inclusivity extends to project-related social events and public spaces, including conferences, meetups, and virtual gatherings. We encourage event organizers to:
- Choose inclusive and accessible venues.
- Offer non-alcoholic beverages and dietary options.
- Avoid scheduling events that conflict with caregiving responsibilities or cultural practices.
- Provide a clear process for reporting incidents at events.
This Code of Conduct is a living document. We will:
- Regularly review and update it to reflect the needs of our community.
- Monitor the effectiveness of our policies through audits and surveys.
