Does your example annotation look like this: Removing the ^ and $ may fix it, At-least it fixed a similar exception stack-trace I was having. |

I am experiencing this same issue when I upgraded my cucumber-jvm from 2.4.0 to 3.0.2
But when I applied a work around (enclose with "[]" the "{}"), I can now open and view the feature files. But the problem, it detects the feature steps we modified on definition as not implemented. Any fix on this issue? |

Just a note that Cucumber does not accept [] in place of {}, so you'll need to change them back before rerunning the tests. |

Hi.
Tried to use the newest Java8 lambda expressions, and the cucumeber-expressions like {string}
and got the editor exception:
I've checked carefully my config - Eclispe Version: Oxygen.3a Release (4.7.3a)
Build id: 20180405-1200
java version "1.8.0_144"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_144-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.144-b01, mixed mode)
project is set-up to use java 1.8 as well at pom.xml:
<java.version>1.8</java.version>
<project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding>
<project.reporting.outputEncoding>UTF-8</project.reporting.outputEncoding>
The code looks fine, and the Cucumer TestRunner works fine, but Cucumer Editor doesn't work at all.
What could be wrong?
