When first typing into a Text field, it will clear the field, causing annoyance.

Certain situations after a form has been submitted and you start typing on an autocomplete field on a new form, the form will clear after you've typed a character or two. The forms I use are remote forms, but I have not tested it on forms that aren't ajax based.
