Very bad range with CC1101

Hi,

so while it works in general, I get very bad reception range (less than 1m) with my NewKaku wall switch that I use for testing. My module clearly has "433M" markings, so it should be tuned for 433MHz.

Is this a known issue or are there things to try/workarounds?
