Metamask surely needs ability to sign transactions from different elliptic curves because such zk-rollup sidechains are using different kinds of elliptic curves for the optimized performance of proof calculation.
This was a barrier for them because Metamask was quite slow at introducing new curve for signing utility.
So a team like LoopRing should build the extension version of Metamask to include the curve used for zk-rollup of their own.
(I think now Metamask is providing additional curves for Loopring or ZKSync)
This will be solved if "our Metamask = Keplr" can more quickly adopt different kinds of curves for signing transactions.
B-Harvest will do our best to help Keplr team include any necessary additional curve for sidechain use-cases for the Hub.
So this is not a technical barrier but more like an inefficient organization management.
Hearing that Metamask is a big barrier to adoptions of rollups and sidechains.
Should have similar topology questions to IBC and DEFI.
A usability study is needed
