gRPC client configuration

I am a bit confused about gPRC client configuration in cortex.

First of all, there is a server config: https://cortexmetrics.io/docs/configuration/configuration-file/#server_config
and there are some gPRC client configuration, for example:

# Limit on the size of a gRPC message this server can receive (bytes).
# CLI flag: -server.grpc-max-recv-msg-size-bytes
[grpc_server_max_recv_msg_size: <int> | default = 4194304]

# Limit on the size of a gRPC message this server can send (bytes).
# CLI flag: -server.grpc-max-send-msg-size-bytes
[grpc_server_max_send_msg_size: <int> | default = 4194304]

As mentioned: The server_config configures the HTTP and gRPC server of the launched service(s).

1. So what does the launched services mean here? Does it also include the frontend-worker and frontend-scheduler? I am asking because there is also gRPC configuration for them: https://cortexmetrics.io/docs/configuration/configuration-file/#frontend_worker_config, and server config doesn't take effect on those configurations.
2. I assume that this will apply to gRPC configuration to all components (e.g., querier, query-frontend, etc.)?
   Is this correct? And if I specify gRPC configuration also for different components, which configuration will take effect?
