I love what contentlayer is aiming to do. As the author of https://github.com/NotionX/react-notion-x, I'm intimately familiar with Notion's content layer (both official and unofficial APIs).

I'd be happy to help with adding support for Notion as a content source, but would likely want to have a quick sync convo before getting started. @schickling feel free to DM me if you want to chat about this.

Either way, one of the most important decisions will be whether to use:

• @notionhq/client - The official Notion API
• notion-client - The unofficial Notion API
• notion-compat - A compatibility layer between the two

At first glance, it may seem like using the official Notion API is an obvious choice, but it's still missing a lot of features, so it really depends on the use case.

We aren't actively working directly on Notion support right now. However, we are spending time this month exploring how we can add new content sources at a faster rate, and how we may be able to open up development to the community. I will update here and in Discord accordingly.

Hi, I started the development of the Notion implementation as it starts to be a requirement for me.

The Notion content source plugin has been released in Alpha. It is still in experimental and is subject to change.
