Currently, the "+" button next to the namespaces opens the "Create Environment" window. From a UI/UX perspective, should we consider ways to make this more prominent? As a first-time user, it took me a little while to find this feature. Some ideas:

  • Add tiny text that says "new" near the "+" symbol?
  • Add another list item at the end of the namespace dropdown that says "Create new"?

I understand that this is a subjective thing, so this issue is open for discussion!

I am +1 on making this more explicit. Right now we are solely relying on an icon + but as we know iconography/symbols are not universal so it would be best to design and implement a more robust approach

I propose this text button:

Right now the text says New, but we can also say New Env if we want it to be even more explicit. These are the interaction states:

I think the + New is a little overwhelming for users who have a lot of namespaces.

I'm opening this back up for discussion, but if yall disagree, feel free to close again. I just think this usecase wasn't considered.

I understand why you'd find this overwhelming, though I am also sure you're perhaps the person with the most namespaces.

I would prefer to leave it as is as this and continue to gather feedback.
