Shinking photos to reduce upload time

Is there a way we can have the app shrink the photos to mobile size before uploading them via 3G? Photo uploads are causing lag and failure to load issues in the field.

Hm, seems like there is a way to do this with html5. See http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10333971/html5-pre-resize-images-before-uploading

I'm gonna mess around with this and see if I can get something working.
